Welcome

We’re looking forward to welcoming you at Criterium White Bay very soon! Our team is here to help make sure you have a great event – both in the lead-up and on event day. Therefore, please reach out if there is anything at all you need help or support with.

We will have a large event team on the ground who will be easy to identify. They will be across all the details of the event and will be able to point you in the right direction (or to the right person).

Similarly, we have a great team behind the scenes who can answer any questions in the lead-up to the event. You can contact us here, or on social media.

See you trackside!

Starting Lists

Coming soon.

Venue Access & Information

Venue information (including venue access and parking) is available here.

Please note that direct access to White Bay Cruise Terminal (WBCT) is via James Craig Road, and NOT Robert Street. Cars will not be able to access the venue from Robert Street (the boom-gate will be closed) on event day.

The above link also covers accessibility, bringing pets, and more. You can also find out more about the course and event village here.

Weather

You can keep an eye on the upcoming weather for the area here.

We will continue to monitor the weather, and provide any updates on the event website and social media channels.

In the event of light rain, racing will proceed. Races may, however, be shortened, or rescheduled to allow time to clear any standing water on the course. You can read more in the event FAQs.

Sign-On

Participants will be able to collect their numbers & timing transponders on the day. Look for signs marked ‘Sign-On Here’ (check out the course map) to be sure you’re in the right place. The event village will be open each day at least 30 minutes before the first race. Note – you will not be able to access the venue until has been declared open, unless you are part of the event team.

Be sure to arrive with plenty of time ahead of your race to collect these items as there may be a queue. The final racing schedule is on the event program page.

Be sure to check the final start list to confirm your race start time.

Clubs & Teams Area

There are 18x bays along the western end of the course. These are perfect for a ‘pit lane’, a place for clubs and teams to set up their rollers and gear – and enjoy the race from only metres away.

Teams and clubs are encouraged to set up in this area – but we ask that anyone using the area also make room for participants and spectators to shelter out of the rain, should it rain during the event.

All gear/equipment must fit inside the bays and must not be set up elsewhere around the venue. You can learn more about the course here.

Food, Water & Alcohol

There will be food trucks, coffee carts and licensed bars available throughout the event – offering a great selection of food, hot drinks and alcoholic refreshments for you to purchase.

Make sure you bring cash or a card, and ID if you would like to purchase alcohol. While you are welcome to bring your own food and refreshments, no BYO alcohol is permitted at the venue.

NO DRINKING AND RIDING – wait until after your event to crack open a cold one, and please drink responsibly.

Finally, water and toilets are available onsite.

Check out the venue information page or course information page for more information.

Technical Regulations

Cycling NSW will be providing sanctioning for the racing, and will be officiating the event. CNSW will also be managing handicapping, timing/results, and marshaling.

For specialised racing, such as the Fixed Gear race, please ensure you are familiar with any technical regulations and/or requirements to ensure you are able (and ready) to race on event day. You can find all the information for Fixed Gear racing here.

Results & Prizes

Results and event report(s) will be published once the event is complete.

Male and female participants will receive equal prize money (or equal value in prizes) for equivalent results.

Due to the high value of the cash prize pool, it is not possible to hand out cash prizes at the event. Most non-cash prizes will be awarded at the event, and cash prizes will be paid out within 28 days.
